Making Gifts to the Dayton Peace Accords Anniversary Fund

This fund has been established for the purpose of providing support for honoring and preserving the legacy of the Dayton Peace Accords and the individuals and communities who contributed to its success. The Dayton Foundation is pleased to provide a means for you to make contributions to the Dayton Peace Accords Anniversary Fund #T113. This fund has been established for the purpose of providing support for honoring and preserving the legacy of the Dayton Peace Accords and the individuals and communities who contributed to its success. There are numerous gift options available, including options that offer recurring gifts on a monthly or quarterly basis. Your contribution is fully tax deductible and will be acknowledged with a letter from the Foundation for tax purposes.

Transfer from a Donor-Advised Fund at The Dayton Foundation

If you have a Dayton Foundation Donor-Advised Fund, you may recommend a grant from your fund to the Dayton Peace Accords Anniversary Fund #T113. You may choose a one-time grant or a monthly or quarterly recurring transfer between your fund and this fund. Should you not wish to do this electronically or do not have a Donor Express account, please contact Jill Koorndyk, vice president of donor services, at jkoorndyk@daytonfoundation.orgor (937) 225-9944.

A personal or business check may be made payable to “The Dayton Foundation” and noting “DPAA Fund #T113” in the check’s memo line. Mail to:

Bill Pay

You may initiate a donation from your checking or savings account through your financial institution’s online banking bill pay system. Simply make the payment to “The Dayton Foundation” and note that it is for the Dayton Peace Accords Anniversary Fund #T113 using the mailing address listed above. You may request a one-time or recurring gift to the fund. 

Preauthorized Debit

Preauthorized transfers from your checking or savings account also may be made by visiting daytonfoundation.org/donate-bank-transfer. You may select either a one-time or a recurring gift. Gifts of Appreciated Stock

To donate appreciated stock, you must have your financial advisor or investment company send the shares of stock in-kind to The Dayton Foundation. Do not send them yourself. Provide written instructions to your broker, specifying the number and type of shares to be transferred, and send a copy to Tracie Boshears, sr. staff accountant, at The Dayton Foundation. To ensure your gift will be credited properly, you must contact Tracie at tboshears@daytonfoundation.orgor (937) 225-9967 and tell her that you are donating stock to the Dayton Peace Accords Anniversary Fund #T113.

IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)

If you are of the age you must take a required minimum distribution from your traditional IRA, you can transfer up to $108,000 to the Dayton Peace Accords Anniversary Fund #T113 as a qualified charitable distribution and not have it show as income for tax purposes. This can result in substantial tax savings for you. Married couples with two separate IRA accounts may transfer up to $216,000 tax free annually. 

RMDs sent directly to the Dayton Peace Accords Anniversary Fund #T113 are considered a QCD, satisfy the RMD requirement and are not considered taxable income for the donor.
